Professor of English
[edit]Evidently Strunk was a specialist in English language (we say morphology, philology). Was he a "professor of English language" as we imply by the lead sentence link, English?
I specified English literature in the hidden template {{Persondata}} because Library of Congress specifies that[1] (now one External link) but I don't consider that conclusive.

- In the book article we imply "professor of English studies" by the section 1 [2] lead link, English.
